Dr Ian Green, BVM&S, PhD, MRCVS

qualified with distinction from the University of Edinburgh in 1982 and received the Gold Medal award for the most distinguished graduate of the year. He moved to the island in1985 after spending two and a half years in mixed practice in Derbyshire. After a further four years in practice on the island he retuned to Edinburgh to undertake a PhD in Veterinary immunology. He was awarded his doctorate in 1993 by which time he had returned to the island becoming a partner in the practice in September of that year. He has had a wide range of professional interests including small animal surgery and exotic and wildlife medicine. He has been a member of the British Veterinary Association, the British Small Animal Veterinary Association, the British Veterinary Zoological Society, the Association of Avian Vets and the American Association of Zoo Vets. Along with his wife and family he keeps and has kept a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, tortoises, fish and horses as well as a small flock of pedigree sheep. His outside interests include carpentry and gardening. Dr Green retired from performing clinical work in January 2020.ell people more about this item. Mrs Honor Roberts, BVSC, BSc, GPCert (FAP), MRCVS

Give people the info they need to go ahead and take the action you want. qualified from the University of Bristol in 2007 after first gaining a degree in Animal Science from the University of Newcastle. She joined the practice soon after. Honor is a member of the British Veterinary Association. Amongst other professional interests Honor enjoys farm animal practice and was awarded the general practitioners certificate in farm animal practice in 2011. This is an exam based further qualification awarded by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies. She is also keen on orthopaedic surgery and has a special interest in veterinary acupuncture which she performs at special appointments at our main surgery in Newport. Miss Katy Butler, BVetMed, MRCVS

is island born and bred. Katy qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2013. She initially worked at a mixed practice in Surrey before returning to the island to join us in January 2015. A member of the British Veterinary Association, Katy enjoys all aspects of mixed practice and has special interests in small animal surgery and farm animal medicine. In July 2018 Katy completed her certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. During her free time she enjoys outdoor pursuits including walking her two spaniels and horse riding.
